On any given day, Anna can be found working on a myriad of different projects ranging from big picture to small detail. As =mc’s marketing manager she’s responsible for maintaining our voice across different communication platforms, ensuring that the look, feel and tone of everything we do matches our brand, our mission and our values. At the heart of her role is a desire to understand the needs of =mc’s customers and join the dots between their needs and our offer. Anna is passionate about exploring and improving every customer interaction, from the moment people first get in touch, into the training room and beyond.
At the moment I’m working on delivering our new two year marketing strategy, which I’ve been working on with the Directors since the start of the year. We have some really interesting new ideas for improving our customers experience of =mc and I’m enjoying putting them into practice.
There are a couple of big tech projects in my pipeline as well that I’m excited about. The first is to improve elements of our CRM system so we can spend less time on admin tasks and more on delivering impactful training. I’m obsessed with data and have helped shaped the current system, so I’m really enjoying this project. The second project is looking at the ways that online learning is evolving, and how to improve the experience for our customers and our team. Alongside these projects I have my fingers in many =mc pies, working across the organisation with everyone in different ways. A really rewarding part of my role is managing Andreia, our Training and Office Assistant and working with her on a daily basis to deliver all the back-end magic that supports =mc trainers. As a manager, I get to use a lot of the management techniques our trainers show to customers. This gives me an affinity with our customers; I understand first hand the challenges of management and the impact the tools and models can have.
Before coming to the Management Centre, I worked as a professional violinist, primarily with BBC Young Folk Award Winning trio Uiscedwr. I toured all over Europe with the band for the best part of a decade. During my music career I also ran my own record label, where I first earned my marketing stripes arranging tours and producing albums for the band. There was a lot of learning on my feet and many mistakes! It’s funny to imagine how I would have run my business differently knowing what I know now about managing people and my time!
